Your First Visit

Brief Paperwork
Upon entering The Spinal Health Clinic, you will be greeted by your Care Coordinator who will complete some brief paperwork. This provides us with some general information about yourself, your condition and your current lifestyle. This enables us to build up a picture of your individual needs so we are able to tailor your Chiropractic care to meet your specific preferences.

Your New Patient Examination
Once the paperwork has been completed, your New Patient Examination will begin. Your Chiropractor will take a full medical history followed by a series of Orthopaedic and Neurological tests. If deemed appropriate after examination X-Rays may be taken (please see below for further details). Once the examination is complete your Care Co-ordinator will book your Report of Findings consultation.

Your Report of Findings Consultation
We advise that you bring along a family member, partner or friend to your follow-up appointment as you will be given a lot of information. At this appointment your Doctor will go through the results of your New Patient examination and show you any X-Ray's that were taken, making sure the significance of what has been found is throughly explained. You will learn how Chiropractic works in relation to your condition and if a course of adjustments is recommended you will be informed how many visits will be required and the total cost of your care.

X-ray Studies
If your examination meets certain critera X-Rays may be deemed necessary to rule out more serious conditions and assist us in giving you the most accurate diagnosis possible. Rest assured that only the essential views will be taken and you will see them at your Report of Findings Consultation.

Same Day Adjustment
After your Report of Findings Consultation, time will be allotted for you to begin your Chiropractic Care Programme.

Home Instructions
Prior to leaving, you will be given instructions on certain activities or procedures to be conducted at home. This may include ice application instructions, avoidance of certain activities or positions, as well as home rehabilitation stretches.

Book your Schedule of Appointments
After your Report of Findings Consultation your Care Co-ordinator will book your entire schedule of Chiropractic Adjustments to ensure that you get your ideal days and times.
